Furniture assembly, move-in setup, and practical home help.

Hi, I’m Caleb. Since 2022, I’ve assembled thousands of pieces of furniture across the DMV — everything from single nightstands to large wardrobe systems, garden sheds, and full furnishing of homes.

My goal is simple: leave you with a home that works. Not a half-built dresser in the corner, not a hallway full of cardboard, and not a stressful “we’ll finish this tomorrow” situation unless that’s what you choose.

I’m not a giant company or a polished concierge service. I’m a local operator who takes the work seriously, communicates clearly, and tries to make the process easier than expected.

Scope-aware estimates

Item links or screenshots help me understand complexity, likely tools, and whether a fixed quote or hourly booking makes the most sense.

🏠

Home-first mindset

The goal is not just assembled furniture. It is getting your room usable, your boxes reduced, and your day back under control.

🌙

Night owl discount

Book a start time at 8pm or later and save $10/hr. Useful for evening move-ins or busy workdays.

💬

Honest communication

If something is outside my skillset, risky, or better handled by a specialist, I’ll tell you directly.

📦

All brands welcome

IKEA, Wayfair, West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, Walmart, Target, Amazon, and more.

The goal is a more usable home, not just a checked-off instruction manual.
For most projects, that means careful assembly, clear scope, and a plan that fits the job before the appointment is confirmed.

A consistent history of careful work.

Use this section to show review patterns: steady communication, clean work, on-time follow-through, and clients hiring again across many jobs.

From one piece of furniture to a more livable home.

I handle straightforward assembly jobs, larger multi-item projects, and practical home setup work like hauling, disassembly, reassembly, and move-in support.

🔩

Furniture Assembly

IKEA, Wayfair, West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, Target, Walmart, Amazon, and more. Small items to large systems.

🔨

Furniture Repair

Wobbly doors, loose joints, stuck drawers, and similar practical fixes. If I can’t fix it, you pay $0.

🚚

Moving Help

DIY-level moving help with dollies. I can also rent and drive a U-Haul on request for the right job.

🔄

Disassembly & Reassembly

Useful when furniture needs to move rooms, fit through tight spaces, come from Marketplace, or survive a move without being forced.

🚐

Hauling

I use a 2003 Chevy Suburban for furniture, cardboard, and project-related trash. No hazardous items or general household waste.

🛠️

Other Projects

Basic IT setup, light mounting, yard help, and odd projects. If it’s not a good fit, I’ll say so rather than wing it.

Clear pricing before the job is confirmed.

I’ll explain the recommended pricing structure, flag likely outside expenses, and note any deposit before you book.

Fixed Quote

Fixed
quoted upfront

Best when the items are clear enough to estimate. Fixed quotes are based on my $60/hr estimate, so you know the price before confirming and I absorb the overrun if I’m slower than expected.

Hourly Rate

$60
per hour · 1hr minimum

Useful for time-based help like moving, flexible project lists, or items that can’t be estimated well in advance.

A few more things worth knowing

  • Night Owl Discount: $10/hr off any booking starting at 8pm or later.
  • Expensing may apply to hourly and fixed-quote jobs, but not the Full Day Package.
  • You can stop a job whenever you want and only pay up to that point.
  • Booking on TaskRabbit is also an option, but TaskRabbit’s fees and policies apply.

Most jobs start with the details, then I send the right booking option.

1. Send what you have

Use the form, text, or WhatsApp. Item links, screenshots, photos, or a quick list are all helpful.

2. I review the scope

I’ll flag anything unusual, recommend fixed quote, full-day, or hourly pricing, and suggest workable booking windows.

3. Confirm the job

I’ll send the appropriate booking link. Larger jobs may require a deposit to hold the time.

A few real projects.

These are normal job photos: office furniture, larger home projects, move-in logistics, and multi-piece builds. The point is not staged perfection — it is showing the kind of work I actually do.

Common questions before getting started.

Are you insured?
Yes! I carry business liability insurance with $1 million in coverage. My live insurance certificate is available to view here.
How do I book if I’m unsure on timing?
Send the project details first. I’ll review the scope and suggest booking windows that fit the job, instead of having you guess how long to reserve.
My situation requires certainty on timing. What are my options?
The best options are usually my first job of the day, around ~10:30am, or a true night booking at 8pm or later. Late afternoon and early evening are more likely to be affected by earlier jobs running long.
What if you can’t complete something on-site?
If I’m unable to complete an agreed-upon task once I’m there — for example, a mount I can’t safely do or equipment I can’t configure — you pay nothing for that portion of the work.
Do you charge deposits or cancellation fees?
For most smaller jobs, no. For larger jobs or full-day blocks, I may ask for a deposit because filling that time after a late cancellation is difficult.
What do I need to know about the Full Day Package?
This is the safest option for large move-ins and full-home setup days. Because I block the day for you, I ask for a 50% deposit. The deposit is retained for cancellations less than 48 hours before the start time, though emergencies and reschedules can be discussed.
What is the best way to contact you?
The website form is best for new projects because it keeps the details in one place. Text, WhatsApp, and email are fine too. I try to reply quickly, but please allow some time while I’m working; a follow-up later is welcome.
What about hauling?
My vehicle is a 2003 Suburban, so I can carry most furniture items, especially before assembly. I can haul old furniture and project-related trash like boxes, but not hazardous items or general household waste. Box truck or pickup rental may be possible case by case.
What can’t you do?
Complex TV mounts, ceiling mounts, plaster/concrete mounting, wall-mounted Murphy beds, and anything requiring a licensed electrician or plumber are usually not a fit.

Let's get your home ready.
